Birthday Celebration
Saturday, June 6th, 2026, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Our Courses in History Dinner Party is an evening designed as a shared celebration, meant to be savored together.
Anticipate a festive experience alongside fellow diners - including George and Martha Washington - who share a fondness for The Gris, whether marking a milestone or simply celebrating the everyday.
Inspired by our colonial culinary heritage, dinner will begin with shared plates followed by thoughtfully-composed small courses, a main course to be selected in advance, and accompaniments offered family-style. All will be served by costumed waitstaff. This communal dining experience, reminiscent of the way celebrations were once held here, provides a sense of place and history.
A string trio of accomplished musicians from Orchestra New England will enhance the authentic atmosphere with lively chamber music from the period. Also, you'll be greeted by a fife & drum corps and there will be featured speakers sharing insights about Gris250 and the occasion's culinary experience.
The celebration will include wines paired with the meal and offered for a celebratory toast along with a special birthday cake.
Main course options are:
* Pan-Seared Frenched Chicken Breast with Mushroom Madeira Sauce and Corn Stuffing
* Roasted Ribeye of Beef au Jus, with Horseradish Cream and Yorkshire Pudding
* Baked Cod and Shrimp with Cracker Crumb Topping and Lemon Beurre Blanc
We look forward to celebrating with you!
